Dear Gewane Agricultural Technical Vocational Educational Training College Graduate’s I would like to express how pleased I am to write this memorable message for you saying congratulation on behalf of me and the college. This day is a special day for you since you reached here after passing a lot of obstacles to achieve one of your goals and really I am proud on you. Your graduation from college signifies that you are equipped with up-to date scientific theories, methods and practical skills required in your fields of study to be able to technically and actively contribute to your endeavors in trying to find new options of development and solve varied economic and social constraints of our peoples.

Our region is home to pastoral and agro-pastoral people who largely depend on livestock production for their livelihood. On the one hand, the ecology in the area is fragile with an increasing trend of natural resources degradation. Rainfall pattern is changing from time to time and temperature generally increasing. Such variability in the climate is exposing the people to the risks of several climate related disasters. Therefore your graduation time is a critical time where our region is need of you to implement what you gain from our college practically to bring sustainable development to the communities. In the future you also face strong stresses in changing the livelihood of our poor peoples, but I am sure you will win every challenges of life and you will be key agents of the required change.

You are the expected band of the year to take responsibilities of your country and listen to the heartbeat of our society to up-bring and nourish them with your knowledge and wisdom to go hand in hand with the advanced countries.

Finally I would like to give my special thanks to Gewane College staffs, your friends, families and for those who have great contribution directly or indirectly for your success. I wish all the bests to all of you. Thank you and please work hard for coming generation and for you.
